One painting CP= 100/100+20 × 924 = 770rs.

Other painting CP= 100/100-20 × 924 = 1155rs.

Total CP= 770+1155 = 1925rs.

Total SP= 924+924 = 1848rs.

Since CP>SP, its a loss

Loss = 1925 - 1848 = 77rs.

If helps.. plzzzzzzzzz

First painting:

S. P. = ₹924

Gain% = 20%

C. P.

= 100/100 + Gain% × S. P.

= 100/100 + 20 × 924

= 100/120 × 924

= ₹770

Second painting:

S. P. = ₹924

Loss% = 20%

C. P.

= 100/100 - Loss% × S. P.

= 100/100 - 20 × 924

= 100/80 × 924

= ₹1,155

Total C. P. = ₹(770 + 1,155) = ₹1,925

Total S. P. = ₹(924 + 924) = ₹1,848

Now, C. P. > S. P., there is loss

Loss

= (C. P. - S. P.)

= ₹(1,925 - 1,848)

= ₹77

Loss%

= Loss/C. P. × 100

= 77/1925 × 100

= 4% (Answer)

Hope this helps you!
