Let the salary of the man be Rs x
Amount spent on fooding = 20% of x
                                         = (20/100) of x
                                         = (1/5) × x
                                         = x/5 Rs
Remaining money = x - x/5
                              = (5x-x)/5
                              = 4x/5 Rs
Amount of money spent on transport  = 30% of the rest
                                                             = (30/100) of 4x/5
                                                             = (3/10) × (4x/5)
                                                             = 12x/50
                                                             = 6x/25 Rs
Amount saved = Rs 2520
Now we can write a relation as
   x/5 + 6x/25 +2520 = x
⇒x/5 + 6x/25  - x = -2520
⇒ (5x + 6x - 25x)/25 = -2520
⇒ -14x/25 = -2529
⇒ -14x = -2520 ×25
⇒ -14x = -6300
⇒  x = -6300/ -14
∴ x =4500
Therefore the salary of the person is Rs 4500
