expenditure : savings=26:3
expenditure=26x
savings=3x
income=7250
income=expenditure+savings
7250=26x+3x
29x=7250
x=7250/29
x=250
savings=3x=3×250=750

Given

Ratio of his Monthly expenditure to his savings
=26:3

so Let Monthly expenditure be 26x

and Savings be 3x..

we know that...

Income = Disposable income + Savings..

(Disposable income includes expenditure)

Given Monthly Income = 7250..

substituting..

7250 = 26x + 3x

7250 = 29x

7250/29=x

250 = x..

So expenditure= 26x = 26(250)=6500

savings= 3x = 3(250) = 750
