let his whole salary =X

he spend on food = 1/4 of his salary

= 25%

he saves RS. ( in % ) = 100% - 25 % - 15% - 22%

= 38 %

therefore , according to question

38% of X = 266

38/100 × X = 266

X= 266×100/38

X = 7 × 100 ( divided by 38 )

X= 700

therefore , his whole income is 700
