let the total money be x
the money he spents on food is 2x/5
the money he spents on house rent trips etc is 3x/10
the money he left with is x-(2x/5 + 3x/10)
=x - 2x/5 -3x/10
=10x-4x-3x / 10
=3x /10
fraction of money is still left with him is 3/10
