Let his income be x

Then,

75% of 80% of 50% of x = 4200

3/4 * 4/5 * 1/2 * x = 4200

12/40 * x = 4200

x = 4200*40/12

x = 350 *40

x = 14000

Concept introduction:

Spending money is cash that you own or get for purely recreational purposes, especially when travelling.

Given:

  • Here it is given that the man spends 30 % of his income in board
  • 25 % of the remainder in other personal necessities
  • 20%  of the rest in Charity.
  • His income is Rs. 25000.

To find:

We have to find the amount which is left by the man.

Solution:

According to the question, he spent total amount of Rs.

[(25000*30/100)+(25000*25/100)+(25000*20/100)]\\=7500+6250+5000\\=18750

His income is about Rs. 25000  So, the amount left by is ->

(25000-18750)\\=6250

Final answer:
