Answer:

Rs.80

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the total amount = x

According to the question,

x×80100×95100=(120+1400)

x×45×1920=1520

x=1520×10076=2000

Total amount = 2000

Amount spent on transport

=2000×80100×5100 = Rs.80

Answer:

The income of the man= Rs. 2000

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

A man spent 5% spent on his total income on traveling.

He spends 20% of the rest on food.

The amount he donated = Rs. 120

Amount left with him = Rs. 1400

To find,

The total income of the man

Solution:

Let 'x' be the total income

Total income = Amount spent on travel + Amount spend on food +amount donated + Amount left with him -----------------(1)

Amount spent on travel = 5%of x = \frac{5x}{100}

Amount left after the spent on travel = x -  \frac{5x}{100} = \frac{95x}{100}

Amount spent on food = 20%of  \frac{95x}{100} = \frac{20}{100} X \frac{95x}{100} = \frac{19x}{100}

Substituting these values in equation (1) we get,

x =  \frac{5x}{100} +  \frac{19x}{100} + 120 + 1400  = x

x = \frac{24x}{100} + 1520

x -  \frac{24x}{100}   = 1520

\frac{100x - 24x}{100} = 1520

76x = 1520×100 = 152000

x = \frac{152000}{76} = 2000

The income of the man= Rs. 2000
