Let his monthly salary be x
Amount spent on household=1/2x
Amount spent for rent = 1/4x
Amount spent for travel = 1/5x
Amount deposited = 50
So,x-(1/2x + 1/4x + 1/5x) = 50
X-(10x + 5x + 4x/20) = 50
X-19x/20 = 50
(20x-19x/20) = 50
X/20 = 50
X = 50 x 20
X = 1000
So,his monthly salary is 1000.
