Answer: ₹14,000

Let the total amout he had be x.

Therefore amount spent= 10/100x

Amount lost = 30/100 × 90/100 = 27/100x

(30% of the remainder, i.e, 100% - 10%)

Now, according to the question,

x - [ 10/100x + 27/100x] = ₹1260

x - 37/100x = ₹1260 (mind here x = 100/100x)

63/100x = ₹1260

x = 1260 × 100/63

x = ₹14,000
