Let the original money be x
20% of x + 20000 + 16% of (remainder) = x-168000
x/5 + 20000 + 16(x-x/5 -20000)/100 = x-168000
x/5 + 16(4x-100000)/500 = x-188000
x/5 + 64x/500 - 1600000/500 = x-188000
164x/500 = x-184800
328x = 1000x - 184800000
672x = 184800000
x = 275000

So the ans is 2,75,000

Hope it helps

Answer:

2,57,856 this was the original sum

Step-by-step explanation:

he had left 168000

16%×168000+168000

= 26880+168000

= 194880

the add 20000

= 194880+20000

= 214880

then

20%× 214880+ 214880

= 42976+214880

= 257856

hope this helps you
