A man standing between two parallel hills, fires a gun and hears two echoes, one 2s and the other 3s after the firing. If the velocity of the sound is 330m/s then find the difference between the two hills.

Answer:

Distance=speed ÷time

Let the first Time be 2 s.

D=3.30÷2=165m

Let the 2nd time be 3s

D=330 ÷3=1 10m

Now first-2nd = 165-11o=55mts
