____Here's your Answer..______

Given,

BC = x cm.

CD = 8cm..

DE = Ycm.

In Triangle ABC ,

Tan 60° = x/y

 \sqrt{3}  = x \div y
y = x \div  \sqrt{3}
----------(1)

In Triangle ADC,

Tan 30° = 8 ÷ y

1 \div  \sqrt{3}  = 8 \div y
 =  >  \: y = 8 \sqrt{3}

Equating eq 1 and 2, we get..

8 \sqrt{3 }  = x \div  \sqrt{3}
 =  >  \: x = 8 \times  \sqrt{3}  \times  \sqrt{3}
 =  >  \:x = 24
So,

Height of Hill = 24 + 8

=> 32 cm.
