Question:-

⇒ A man standing on a road has to hold his umbrella  at  30  with the vertical to keep the rain away. He  throws the umbrella and starts running at  10 km/hr. He finds that rain drop are hitting his  head vertically. Find the speed (in kph) of  raindrops with respect to road.

Answer:-

\theta = 30

u = 10 km\hr

V_rg = OB

V_pg = OA = 10km/hr

V_rp = OC

therefore:-

In triangle OBC

OB = \frac{CB}{sin30}

OB = 20 kmh^{-1}
