Given :-

a man start walking and cover 3 meters in north direction then he turn right and cover 4 metre. from this point again he walks north direction and covered 3 meters distance then he take another right and cover 4 metre distance

To Find :-

The total distance travel and total displacement

Solution :-

Finding the total distance

Distance = 3 + 3 + 4 + 4

Distance = 6 + 8

Distance = 14 m

Finding total displacement

We may observe that the North and East make a right angle triangle.

By using Pythagorean theorem

H² = P² + B²

\sf \: {H}^{2} = {6}^{2} + {8}^{2}

\sf \: {H}^{2} = 36 + 64

\sf \: {H}^{2} = 100

\sf \: {H} = \sqrt{100}

\sf \: H = 10 \: m
