According to question:

  • ⇒ 3m in North = 3N
  • ⇒ 4m in East(right) = 4E
  • ⇒ 3m in North = 3N
  • ⇒ 4m in East(right) = 4E

Total displacement = 3N + 4E + 3N + 4E

  • ⇒ 6N + 8E

As North and east are at right angle to each other, So, we will use Pythagoras theorem to find displacement

  • Displacement = √6² + 8² = 10
  • Displacement is 10 m

  • Distance = 6 + 8 = 14 m
