A man starts from his home and drives 169km to the east and then 192 km to the west.how far is he from his home finally and in which direction?

and west = 192 from east direction
192-169=23 km west from starting point

Let is house be at the Origin ( Intersection point in the attachment )

He drives 169 km to the eastern direction. Again he drives 192 km towards the western direction. 

Therefore western direction has greater length of distance. So he is facing the western direction from his home.

West Direction Distance - East Direction Distance = Distance from home.

=> 192 km - 169 km = Distance from Home.

= 23 km = Distance from home.

Hence he is at a distance of 23 km from his home facing the West direction.
