Answer: distance is 14 kilometre and displacement is 10 kilometre

Explanation: distance is the total length of the path and displacement is a distance between initial and final position the person travel in East 6 kilometre then he turns left means in north direction he travel 8 kilometre sodistance between initial and final position is the by Pythagoras theorem √6^2+8^2=displacement=10

Distance traveled = OA+BA

= ( 6+8 ) km

= 14 km

 b {o}^ {2} =  \sqrt{b {a }^{2}  + o {a }^{2} }  \\  \sqrt{ {8}^ {2}  +  {6 }^{2} } \\  \sqrt{64 + 36 }  \\  \  \sqrt{100}   \\ =  10km

Displacement = 10 km
