The man will complete the remaining work in 2 days, if the the man and woman had worked together for 3 days and after 3 days the woman had left.

Step-by-step explanation:

A man takes 10 days to finish a job

So, work done by the man in 1 day = \frac{1}{10}

A women takes 6 days to finish the same job

So, work done by the women in 1 day = \frac{1}{6}

It is given that together they have worked for 3 days

The work done by man and women together in 3 days will be,

= 3 * [\frac{1}{10} + \frac{1}{6}]

= 3 * [\frac{3+5}{30}]

=  \frac{8}{10}

= \frac{4}{5}

The remaining work to be done by the man after the women left,

= 1 - \frac{4}{5}

= \frac{1}{5}

Since the man can finish 1 job in 10 days

Then, \frac{1}{5}th of the job or the work will be finished by the man alone in,

= \frac{1}{5} * 10

= 2 days

Thus, the man will complete the remaining work in 2 days.
