  • A man Travel 7km to east then turns right and travel 3km and further turns right and covers another 11km.how far is he from the starting point?

\large{\underline{\underline{\mathfrak{\bf{SOLUTION:-}}}}}.

\large\boxed{\:In\triangle{ABE}}

  • AB, = 4km

  • BE. = 3km

\large{\underline{\underline{\mathfrak{\bf{Find\:Here:-}}}}}.

  • Distance from starting point AE.

\large{\underline{\underline{\mathfrak{\sf{Explanation:-}}}}}.

By Pythagoras theorem ,

We know,

\large\boxed{\:AE^2\:=\:AB^2\:+\:BE^2}

\implies\:AE^2\:=\:(4)^2+(3)^2

\implies\:AE^2\:=\:16+9

\implies\:AE\:=\sqrt{25}

\implies\:AE\:=\:±5

\underline{\bold{\:NOTE:-}}

  • Distance always will be positive

So,

  • Value of AE = -5 is not exits

So,

Distance between staring point will be. = 5 km
