Answer:

Let the actual time be t.

When Chaman reaches early,

⇒ Speed = 54 km/hr

⇒ Time = (t – 3) min = (t – 3)/60 hr

⇒ Distance = {(t – 3)/60} × 54 = {(9t – 27)/10} km

When Chaman reaches late,

⇒ Speed = 48 km/hr

⇒ Time = (t + 1) min = (t + 1)/60 hr

⇒ Distance = {(t + 1)/60} × 48 = {(8t + 8)/10} km

Now, we get,

⇒ {(9t – 27)/10} = {(8t + 8)/10}

⇒ t = 35 min

Now,

⇒ Distance = {(9t – 27)/10} = 288/10 = 28.8 km

The ratio of the speed,

⇒ S1 ∶ S2 = 54 ∶ 48

⇒ S1 ∶ S2 = 9 ∶ 8

The ratio of time,

T1 ∶ T2 = 8 ∶ 9

⇒ 1 unit ≡ 4 minutes

⇒ 8 units ≡ 32 minutes

S = D/T

⇒ D = S1 × T

⇒ D = 54 × (32/60)

⇒ D = 28.8 km

∴ The distance travel by Chaman is 28.8 km.

The ratio of the speed and time and are always inversely proportional to each other.

S ∝ (1/T)

We can say that,

S1 ∶ S2 = T2 ∶ T1

Answer:

\huge\pink{\mid{\underline{\overline{\tt Answer:-}}\mid}}

Given : Speef = 54 km/h, time = 3 +1/3 = 10/3 h

Formula:

Distance = Speed × time

D = 54×10/3 = 180 km
