Answer:

let the total distance be x

if the person travels 3 /8 of journey by train,

3/5 journey by bus

total distance travelled by the person =3/5 + 3/8=39/40x

distance travelled by foot =x-39x/40=x/40

x/40=2 km

x= 80 km

distance travelled by bus =3/5 of x =3/5 of 80

=48 km

Step-by-step explanation:

Let his total journey be x then,

3/8x + 3/5x = 39x/40

Then if he covered rest of his jouney by walking then x - 39x/40 = x/40

If, x/40 = 2m

then his total jouney is,

x = 40 × 2 = 80m

If his total journey is 80m then,

Distance travelled by bus = 3/5 × 80

=> 3 × 16 = 48m

Answer) Hence, he travelled 48m by bus.
