HENCE,

===> Distance travelled

=4m+3m= 7m

===>Displacement

=√(4)^2+(3)^2

Displacement=√16+9=√25= 5m

*in the displacement part, √(4)^2+(3)^2 was used because of Pythagoras theorem as it will form 90° when the person will move to north and hence the length of displacement will be the hypotenuse...
