for first 15 km , time = distance /speed = 15/30 =0.5 hrs

for next 75 km , time = distance /speed = 75/50 =3/2 = 1.5hrs

for 10km , time = distance /speed = 10/20 =

0.5 hrs

Total time = 1.5 +0.5+0.5 = 2.5 hrs

Total distance = 75+15+10 = 100 km

average speed = total distance / total time

= 100/2.5 = 40 km/hr
