A man Travels by boat 36 km upstream and complete the distance in 8 hours if the speed of boat in still water is 12 km/he.find the speed of water current

we Have to Find speed of current ?

Given :- Distance He cover in upstream is = 36 km

and it has been said that he cover this distance in 8 hours .

we know that ,

speed =  \frac{distance}{time}  \\  \\ speed =  \frac{36}{8}  = 4.5km \: per \: hour

and , we also know that

in \: upstream \: speed = \\  \\  speed \: in \: still \: water - speed \: of \: current

so,

speed \: of \: current = 12 - 4.5 = 7.5

so, speed of current is = 7.5km/h (Ans)
