A man tumbling down a rock reaches the ground faster than a man sliding down.Explain.​

When an object slides across the ground, it has much more surface area in direct contact with the ground, which means that the amount of friction is significantly higher.

On the other hand, when an object rolls along the ground, only one point of the object comes in contact with the ground in each moment, making it less effective than sliding friction.

Because when an object easy in rolling motion or tumbling the friction is less whereas the sliding motion takes more friction.
