A man us 37 years old and his two sons are 8 years and 3 years old respectively. After how many years will he be twice as old as the sum of the ages of his sons?

So man's present age is 37.

So let the number of years in which his age will be twice the sum of his sons age be x.

In x years, he will be 37+x years old.

In x years , the kids will be 8+x and 3+x years old. Sum of which is 11+2x

So

37+x=2(11+2x)

On solving,

X=5

So in 5 years , the scenario will happen. What is important here is that, we need to know what the question is.only then can we focus on the answer
