The man travels by train and bus distance = 70 - 10 = 60 kms.This distance of 60 kms is travelled in the ratio 1 : 2 by train and bus respectively.Hence distance travelled by train = (1/3)x60 = 20 kms and hence distance travelled by bus = 40 km

HOPE IT MAY HELP YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!

let the distance travelled by train be x km.
therefore distance travelled by bus=x km.
a/q
10+x+x=70.
2x=60
x=30.
therefore distance travelled by train is 30km
