A man walks 2 km on the first day morning and subsequently every day he walks half of the distance walked on the previous morning. What can be maximum total distance walked by him in his life time?​

1st day =2 Kms

2nd day=1

3rd day=1/2

and so on...

From day 2 till his entire life=(1+(1/2)+(1/4)+(1/8)+........) which makes an infinite series.

S=a/(1-r)

S=1/(1-(1/2))=2

Adding day 1 and his entire life=2+2=4

Ans: 4Kms
