A man walks 30 metres towards south. Then, turning to his right, he walks 30 metres. Again, turning to his left, he walks 20 metres. Finally, he turns to his left and walks 30 metres. How far is he from his initial position?

  1. step a) when he walks 30m in south and turning right means moving west 30m.
  2. step b) when he turns left means moving in south from initial point and walks 20m.
  3. step c) again turning left means moving II (parralell) to to the line in opposite direction of second path of 30m.
  4. step d) as watching the diagram the last point is the straight line. if we add them both the ans comes to be 50m.
