x km = 2\frac{1}{7} hours  -------(2)

x * 1 hour = 2\frac{1}{7}  * 4\frac{3}{5}

x = \frac{15}{7}  + \frac{23}{5}

x = \frac{35 + 161}{35}

x = \frac{196}{35} = \frac{28}{5}

x = 5\frac{3}{5}  kilometres

the man will walk   5\frac{3}{5}   kilometres in   2\frac{1}{7}    hours
