A man walks (9x+5)km to east, then 3/2x km to west and finally (5x-1/3) km to east .how far he is from the starting point..

Distance towards East: (9x+5) + (5x-1/3) km

Distance towards West: 3/2x

So, distance from starting point: (East minus West)

= (9x+5) + (5x-1/3) - 3/2x

= 14x + 5 - 1/3 -3/2x

= 14x + 14/3 - 1.5x

= (12.5x +14.33) km

So, he is (12.5x +14.33) km East from the starting point.
