A man walks along a length and breadth of a rectangular plot . If the dimension of plot are 150m×120m.Find the distance travelled and displacement of man.

If he has completed the round about rectangle

Distance = 2*(150+120) = 540 
Displacement = 0 (as he came back to the same point)

The displacement of the man mentioned in the question,is equals to the length of the diagonal of that rectangular plot.

And to calculate the length of rectangle's diagonal,we have to apply the following formula;

✓a²+b²

=✓150²+120² [according to the data mentioned in the question]

=192 (approximately)

The displacement of the man is approximately 192 metres.
