Answer:

Distance=4400m

Displacement=320m

Explanation:

L=320m

B=80m

P=2{L+B}

2{400m}

800m

Distance=800*5.5=4400m

Displacement=320^2+80^2

approx, 320m

Distance covered by the man basically is the perimeter of the park multiplied by 5.5

So, perimeter = 2(l +B)

2(320+80) = 2 * 400 = 800

800*5.5 = 4400

Hence , the distance covered is 4400m

The displacement would be the distance between the final and initial point, hence in the image given below, AD is the distance we need to calculate. For that , we will use Pythagoras theorem and calculate AD.

AD^2= AB^2 + BD^2

Which is equal to 20 m

Hence the displacement is 20m

I know that since AD is the hypotenuse it should have the have the highest numerical value but this is coming out to be the answer.

aradhyaravenclaw: I want to edit this answer since I’ve just realised that I’ve made an error in here. Square of 320 is 102400 and that of 80 is 6400, hence square of AD is 108800 , which turns out to be 329.84m . Hence the displacement is 329.84m.
