Let the speed at which man walks for the first two hours be S1 and time be T1

Let the speed at which man walks for the next two hours be S2 and time be T2

S1 = 7/3 Km/hr                                T1 = 2hrs

S2 = 3/2 km/hr                                T2=2hrs

Distance=Speed/Time

Therefore,D1(distance in the first 2hrs) = S1/T1

=7/3 * 1/2

=7/6

D2(distance in the NEXT 2hrs)=S2/T2

=3/2 * 1/2

=3/4

D = D1 + D2

=7/6+3/4

23/12
