Time taken in covering 6 km at a speed of 5 km/h = \frac{6}{5}

Time taken in covering 6 km at a speed of 5 km/h = 1.2 hr

Time taken in coming back using bicycle = \frac{6}{12}

Time taken in coming back using bicycle = 0.5 hr

Total time taken = 1.2 + 0.5 = 1.7 hr

Total distance covered = 6 + 6 = 12 km

Average speed = \frac{12}{1.7}

Average speed = 7.05 km/hr

Hence, the average speed for the entire journey = 7.05 km/hr
