A man walks on a straight road from his home to a market 2.5 km away with a speed of 5 km/h. Finding the market closed, he instantly turns and walks back home with a speed of 7.5 km/h. What is the magnitude of average velocity?

Hey mate!!!!!

We know that velocity is carried out on displacement.
Since here the displacement is zero (because the man started from the home and returned to the home) so the velocity is also ZERO.

Hope it helps dear friend ☺️✌️✌️

Hi!!
we know that velocity= displacement /time.

so, here displacement is zero because the man
start from his home to market and walks back home in same way....

hence the velocity is zero...
