a man wants to divide a sum of rs.37500 among his son and daughter aged 12 and 14 years respectively in such a way that on attaining the age of 18 years each gets the same amount at 5%p.a. simple interest.what is the son's share?

Now, son's shares is processed for 6 years and for daughter's 4 years....

3x=2(37500-x)

3x+2x=(37500*2)

x=(37500*2)/5

x=7500*2=15000

Son's share is =15000 Rs
