Answer:

Let, initially the bullet and man are x distance apart.

Now, before get hit, man travelled distance= 0.5×10 = 5m

and the bullet will have to travel a distance 'x+5'm _____(eq.1)

And by given data, The distance travelled by bullet is, 500×0.5 = 250m _____(eq.2)

and, eq.1 & eq.2 are equal

hence, x+5 = 250

x=250-5=245m

Answer:

DISTANCE = 245 m

*EXPLANATION* = let initially the bullet and Man are 'X' distance apart.

Now before get hit, Man travelled distance = Speed +× time = 0.5 × 10 = 5

And Bullet have to travel a distance 'X + 5' m : eq. 1

And by given data distance travelled by bullet = 500 × 0.5 = 250 : eq.2

Now as eq.1 and 2 both are equal , we will put them equal .

X + 5 = 250 m

; X = 245 m
