A man weighs 600N at earth surface. At what height above the surface of earth will he weigh 300N. Take radius of earth Be 6400 km.

g varies as

g'=g/(1+h/r)^2 on going upward , Where r=radius of earth


So, 300=mg'

300=mg/(1+h/r)^2

(mg =600)

Put the values and get 'h'
