Answer:

Let the weight of his son be x.

Then the weight of the father will be x +8

ATQ,

x+x+8 = 138

2x+8 = 138

2x = 138-8

2x = 130

x = 65

Hence the weight of the son is 65 kg and the weight of his father is 65+8=73 kg
