A man weighs 80kg. He stands on a weighing scale in a lift which is moving upwards with a uniform acceleration of 5m/s2. what would be the reading on the scale.(g=10m/s2)

as the lift accelerates upward the apparent wt . R = m(g +a) 80(10+5) 1200n

as the lift is moving upwards therefor
the weight of man will be
m(g + a)
and hence the answer on caculation is 120kg
but this mass means the reading of the scale actual force or tension will be 1200 newton.
