A man went to a place by bus in 2.5 hrs. He returned some distance by bus and
the remaining part by rickshaw. It took 4 hours. If the speed of the bus and the
rickshaw be 36km/hr and 9km/hr respectivity find the distance he returned
by rickshaw.​

let x km is returned by rickshaw

then by bus=90-k km

Total time take by bus and  rickshaw

= x/9 +(90-x)/36= 4 hrs

4x+90-x=144

3x=144-90=54

x=54/3=18 m

Thus distance traveled by rickshaw =18 km
