Answer:

P=W/t

=mgh/t

h=30*20

P=50*10*30*20/30

=10^4W

Given :

Mass of the man = 50kg

Number of steps = 30

Time taken = 30

Height of each step = 20m

To find :

Power of the man

Solution :

Firstly we have to find work done by the person,

work done is given by,

w = mgh

here,

  • w denotes work done
  • m denotes mass
  • g denotes gravity
  • h denotes height

height of steps = 30 × 20 = 600m.

by substituting all the given values in the formula,

➠ w = mgh

➠ w = (50)(10)(600)

➠ w = 300000 J

now,

The power is rate of work done

  • The SI unit of power is the watt (W)

we know,

P = w/t

here,

  • P denotes power
  • w denotes work done
  • t denotes time

by substituting all the given values in the formula,

➠ P = w/t

➠ P = 300000/30

➠ P = 10000 W.

thus, Power of the man is 10000W.
