a man wishes to lay square tiles on the floor of a room measuring 48m by 40m .what is the largest size of the square tiles that can be laid so that a whole no.of tiles fit in.....with the steps to solve this problem .......please it's argent

we use HCF method here
factors of 40= 2, 2, 2, 5
factors of 48= 2, 2, 2, 2, 3
highest common factor is 2× 2 ×2 =8
thus, largest size of required tile is 8 m
