Answer:

vertical = 490j
horizontal = 0
TOTAL WORK

mass [m]=10kg

acceleration [g]=10m/s^2

W= F S

first we need to find displacement which is hypotenuse[diagonal  staircase]

=\sqrt{10^{2}+ 5^{2}
=\sqrt{100+25
=\sqrt{ 125
=11.18

therefore, displacement [s] = 11.18 m

Now,
 W=ma × s     [or W= mgh]
    = 10×10×11.18
    =1118 J

Given ,

vertical = 490j

horizontal = 0

to find :

TOTAL WORK

mass [m]=10kg

acceleration [g]=10m/s^2

W= F S

first we need to find displacement which is hypotenuse[diagonal staircase]

= \sqrt{ {10}^{2}   +  {5}^{2} } =  \sqrt{125  }  = 11.1

therefore, displacement [s] = 11.18 m

Now,

W=ma × s [or W= mgh]

= 10×10×11.18

=1118 J
