A mans present age is eight times his sons age. after two years , his age will be six times sons age.what are their present ages?

--> Let Son's age be 'x'
--> Father's age be 'y'
Acc. to question -->
( y - 5 ) = 7( x - 5 )
=> y = 7x - 30 ---> ( i )
Also, five years hence :->
--> ( y + 5 ) = 3( x + 5 )
=> y = 3x + 10 --> ( ii )
From ( i ) and ( ii ) -->
--> 7x - 30 = 3x + 10
=> 4x = 40
=> x = 10 --> y = 40 √√
Hence, their ages are 10 and 40 respectively...
