Heya User,

--> Let Son's age be 'x'
--> Father's age be 'y'
Acc. to question -->
   ( y - 5 ) = 7( x - 5 )
=> y = 7x - 30 ---> ( i )

Also, five years hence :->
 --> ( y + 5 ) = 3( x + 5 )
=>  y = 3x + 10  --> ( ii )

From ( i ) and ( ii ) -->
--> 7x - 30 = 3x + 10
=> 4x = 40
=> x = 10  --> y = 40 √√

Hence, their ages are 10 and 40 respectively...
