A manufacture of computer sets produced 250 sets in the third year and 450 sets in the
seventh year. Assuming that the production increases uniformly by fixed number
every year 1) Find the production in the first year?
ii) Production in the 10 years.
i) Total production in the first 15 years.

Seventh year produced = 450

a7 = 450

a+6d = 450

Subtract equation 1 and 2

a+2d=250

a+6d=450

4d=200

d=50

d=50, In equation 1

a=150

i) Frist year = 150

ii) Production in 10 year

a10 = a+9d

a10 = 150+9(50)

a10 = 150+450

a10 = 600

iii) Total production of first 15 years

s15 =7500
