a5 = 10000 ⇒ a+4d=10000 ----------- (1)

a9 = 18000 ⇒ a+8d=18000 ------------(2)

(2) - (1) ⇒ 4d=8000

        d=2000    and   a=2000

(i) Production in the 12th year, a12 = a+11d = 2000+11×2000

                                                         =2000+22000=24000

(ii) Let an = 28000

an=a+(n-1)d

28000=2000+(n-1)2000

26000/2000=n-1

n-1=13

n=14

∴In the 14th year, the production will be 28000
