A manufacturer sells article to a wholesaler dealer at 25% gain. the wholesale dealer sells it to a retailer at 5% gain. the retailer gains 20% by selling it for ₹756. How much did the manufacturer pay for this article?​

Then SP to whole saler=10000x+2500x(25%)=12500x

SP fo to retailer =12500x+5% of 12500x

=12500+125*5=12,500x+625=13,125x

Now retailer gains 20% of 13125x

=13125x*20/100=2625x

Thus SP from retailer=13125x+2625x=15750x

Now given that

15750x=756

x=756/15750=0.048 Rs

Thus Manufacturer paid=0.048*10000=Rs 480
