A manufacturing company produces a product from one raw material using a process A.This process generates total solid wastes Wa ( in tonne) represented as W(A)(r)= 1/15000(-2r^(3)+ 10r^(2)+400r) where r is the amount of raw material used in tone and r in(0 10).If the company uses a different process B to produce the same product from same raw material then the total solid waste generated as W_(B)(r)=1 (in tonnerer present as W_(C)(r)=12r^(3)+11^(2)+440r).The wrate generated as W_(B) (in tone) represented as W_(C) is _(C) (In one more treatment using the process A by converting 1 material.How much extra amount will the company have to pay in waste retreatment for consuming 1 tonne of raw material if it uses the process B? Given : Wa (r) = 1/15000 (-2r^3 + 10r^2+400r)

Wb (r) = 1/10000 (-2.2r^3+11r^2+440r).

The company spends Rs 5000 in waste treatment using the process A by consuming 1 tonne of raw material.

To find : How much extra amount will the company have to pay in waste treatment for consuming 1 tonne of raw material if it uses the process B?

Solution:

Wa (r) = 1/15000 (-2r^3 + 10r^2+400r)

r = 1

=> Wa (1) = 1/15000 (-2  + 10 +400  ) = 408/15000

= 136/5000

cost for  136/5000  is 5000

Wb (r) = 1/10000 (-2.2r^3+11r^2+440r).

r = 1

=> Wb (1) = 1/10000 (-2.2 +11 +440)  = 448.8/10000

= 224.4/5000

Extra in process B = 224.4/5000 -  136/5000

= 88.4/5000

cost for  136/5000  is 5000

=> cost for 88.4/5000  =   5000 * 88.4/136

= 3250

Rs 3250 extra to be paid in process B
